I had the privilege of accompanying Miriam Vollmeier as a cameraman during her interview documentary. In it, people with post-Yugoslavian migration histories talk about memory, loss and belonging through personal objects – and open up a space for empathy. It was an intense shoot full of exciting stories, and I gained a lot of intimate insights into the former yugoslavian countries. The film premiered in Cologne in October 2025.
